I don't see any data to corroborate this opinion. If anything, the US is ramping up its global hegemony efforts (maybe because it's getting more desperate ?)

Technology MAY be a game-changer (it usually is). Can the rest of the world come together (economically and technologically) to challenge the US/Western Empire? Time will tell (though I know I probably won't be alive to find out).
