I'm sorry David Avenell, but YOU don't have the authority to decide unequivocally who IS and who ISN'T a Buddhist.

What you're doing here is being an apologist. ALL faiths and ALL religions have GOOD and BAD interpretations. The same with ideologies.

If one uses YOUR LOGIC, then one can make/support any argument.

Example: The arguments people make to defend capitalism (which goes along the lines of "...doing <xyz> is not true capitalism, capitalism cannot be blamed" OR "....doing <xyz> is not a part of <abc> religion, hence these people don't belong to <abc> religion".
