I get all that, but I have a lot of respect for Matt. After interviewing Katie personally, not all of which is posted here, he wrote "Katie asked flat-out if the problem was the subject of Israel... eventually they just told her that was, in fact, the case."

Also Katie's own words were "I had been told that they have a new policy where op-eds on Israel were a no-no, both written op-eds, which The Hill does as newspaper, and also these video op-eds"

Yes there's always some doubt when people get fired about all the factors involved. Regardless of whether we agree with her views on Israel, the reason for the firing seems credible.
