JVL, I just had a conversation with my sisters and invoked your name. No matter they had no idea who you were. They’re both in their 50s and 60s like me, and they both asked who I thought was going to beat Biden in the primaries. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I calmly and carefully explained that Biden is our candidate, to which much moaning was heard. And then they said, at least there’s a chance that it won’t be Trump when Biden loses. And again I explained Trump is the nominee. Having young pro-BDS activists in their families, they’ve been convinced that Biden is evil.

When I told them it was either we all get together and vote for Biden, or we get Trump. “Maybe we’ll just vote down ballot. It’s all the same.” I was unable to convince them that democracy actually matters. I made a tiny amount of headway when mentioning Dobbs, but that was it.

I’m ready to jump out a window.😩
