Re Jordan, Re Scalise, re McCarthy, re Trump, re anybody who is line for a promotion in the GOP and needs others to have his/her back, I find that I've set my personal bar quite low, or quite high, depending on how one sees it. All I'm really looking for is someone, enough somebodies, to say out loud, "F... this and f... all of the shenanigans. I don't care if it costs me an election. I can find another job, one that doesn't make me have to deal with all of this sh.. and all of these bastards any longer, and doesn't make me and my family have to answer for all of it for the rest of my life and the rest of theirs. I have options. I'll take advantage of them if I need to."

Boom. End of crisis -- if enough people want it and have the stones to put actions to thoughts. Of course that leaves many issues still unresolved, not least the utter lack of a clear plan for the future by the GOP and the pathway forward it has chosen on a number of critical issues. But, hey, one disaster at a time.
