My three brothers, their wives (save one), and their college-age children are all triple-jabbed. One sister-in-law stopped at two jabs because she had a bad reaction. I'm not sure, but I think two of my brothers aren't speaking to me (it's hard to tell). My double-jabbed sister-in-law thinks they believe refusing the jabs is a political statement. No, actually, it's a medical decision.
It's remarkable to me that people who hate Trump with a passion (two of my brothers and their wives are rabid Trump haters) took the jabs. It's truly bizarre. It's as though they have no understanding that Trump made those jabs possible (for good or ill).
Two of my college-age nephews (who'd had C19 while in school) "had" to get the jabs. My other nephew went to get the jab on his 18th birthday (April 2021) while a senior in high school. He'd had three by last Christmas. My niece also got the jabs voluntarily. I am so angry at their parents.
My son and daughter (who are out of college) had a cousins get-together in the beginning of the summer when my son was home for a visit, and they all stopped by our house afterwards. I kept looking at them and wondering if they were going to be okay. It was terrifying. I would not be surprised if they got another jab in the fall if their schools required it. My brothers and their wives are idiots.
My triple-jabbed older brother (the one who doesn't hate Trump) and my double-jabbed sister-in-law (his wife) both got Covid early this summer. I was with her the day before my brother tested positive (in a car for a couple hours), but I never became ill. They had a rough couple weeks but came through it fine.
