I'd say it's not also correct to say that no other major country supported his policies towards China; while I don't think Japan harbored much love for Trump personally or his crass view of the US-Japan alliance, they did appear to welcome the general sense of a much stronger US focus on the Indo-Pacific region which was driven by his administration, and the India-US alignment on China grew stronger under the Trump administration as well (though of course a lot of this was driven by the CCP itself - which brings us back to the point of placing the onus of hitting "pause" on the US).
