On the subject of containment, I am quite curious - is there a point at which we anticipate the USG might begin to openly advocate for containment, in the manner of what was seen during the Cold War? What would this take - another GOP administration? More belligerent action by the CCP? Or is it simply impossible to envision how this type of shift in language could ever be viewed as in the US's interest in the modern context?
