Classroom, in 1999ish:

I've just told the class what's on the docket for the upcoming weeks until Jul holidays.

One girl pipes up:

"What was that you were talking about just now?"

"I just told you" (In Swedish, there's no possibility of confusion in if I'm referring to her or the class with that "you".)

"Well! You sure didn't tell *ME* anything!"

I think that was my first contact with Main Character Syndrome.
