I think most women, whether consciously or not, want a man who will say No to them. They don't really want to be boss. As soon as they are, they start to be dissatisfied with the man. And the man will be dissatisfied with himself and (consciously or not) resentful of the woman who stripped him of his self-respect. It's a bad cycle.
