The vileness of Tate's comments, almost certainly not intended to be believed, is at least equalled by the vileness of western family law and practise, in which a man can be prevented from seeing his own children for years by his ex-wife's self-serving lies, and in which a false allegation can permanently ruin a man's reputation and career. When it comes to sexual morality and family life, the weakness and corruption of the west makes it difficult to sneer at Islamic ways.
