Couldn't agree more. There is no academic discipline that has not been infected now. And what happens in academia doesn't stay in academia (unlike Vegas). It spreads out everywhere, most perniciously into social work, law, journalism, criminology, media & entertainment, economics, business management, art history, medicine, library and archives management ... everywhere.
