The global south, or the global majority as they're now called, understands this because of past wars. Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and many other countries have been destroyed for no reason, and that doesn't take into account the coups, sanctions and assassinations of people in the way of the the global north.

We in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia need to understand this, and soon. All this destruction, death and waste of oodles of money comes at the worst possible time for humanity and all of life on earth. We're in an existential climate crisis, and that money needs to go towards a truly just transition to a green and caring future.

Not only are the powers that be evil, but they're also insane. Destroying the planet and all the life that depends on her is the hight of insanity and irresponsibility.
