Countless civilian and commercial pilots and crews have reported UFOs; many so-called classic sightings in the literature are from these exact groups: Kenneth Arnold, Chiles-Whitted, Nash-Forternberry, Japan Airlines flight 1628, the Valentich Australia disappearance, etc, etc, etc. How to could not be aware of this beggars belief.
