There's that old nut about judging what's important by what we're not allowed to talk about. The American political class's lockstep support for Israel would certainly top that list of prohibited topics. National arguments can be had regarding abortion, China, gay marriage, Pentagon budgets, term limits, war and peace, medicare for all; but Israel? You either love it or love it a lot. Entire columns could be devoted to this topic and the rancid outcomes of this unquestionable policy, but just know that you are not alone in questioning it. One day I hope we as a nation can finally have that discussion.
