Many, many years ago I compared the Old Farmer's almanac (written well in advance) to the local prognosticators' weekly predictions over the course of several months. Hazard a guess as to which was more accurate? I reckon modern forecasting has gotten a bit better, so now tempted to have my teenagers do the same thing for 2023.
