It's not at all clear who is going to control AI, if anyone. Admittedly the precedent from search isn't good, with per-hop latency making grid alternatives non-competitive. But on the other it should displace the rest of the google offerings that help make the search lock so strong, i.e. enabling the kind of a la carte integration integration that make monopoly more difficult.
