While I would like to think that the WaPo is leading the effort to bring honesty to the USA proxy war in Ukraine to bring it to a negotiated peace, I fear the opposite is true. I fear that this message will lead to cries for greater USA involvement, including professional USA "good guy" troops to reinforce the poor volunteer Ukrainian forces in order to defeat the "bad guys" and further the USA aims of unipolar hegemony. Wasn't this how Vietnam started?
