I can still picture myself reading the print Times as I rode the subway to high school at 16. Ludicrously, I was reasonably confident in the veracity of what I was reading. These days, I'm stunned if anything I see there connected with US foreign policy isn't already — or doesn't rapidly turn out to be — total rubbish. I have friends who still buy that printed version. And they don't even have a bird cage or a litter box to line, so I wonder what the hell they use it for.
