I've recently rediscovered joy in cathedrals. Not as religious objects certainly, but as enormous works of arts of artists and artisans -- as swell as containing immense wealth of art-- carvings, paintings, sculpture, and the music of five-manual pipe organs, which I've had the privilege to play, which Bach wrote for; and which fill one's soul with sound, the original sound synthesizers. All in all, cathedrals express some very good aspects of the human spirit.
