The answers I get if I bring up genocide are “this is an ancient rivalry/Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East/Christianity is based on the Jewish faith (!)/terrorists come out of Palestine so Israel can’t be safe unless they’re destroyed/I can’t think about this it’s too depressing.”
