This sort of condescending attitude is exactly the reason why many people in the rest of the world consider China to be a poor member of the international community. If the Chinese government deliberately avoids speaking to non-Chinese about human rights issues because they do not trust, want or care about the opinion of non-Chinese, then why are they even members of the UN in the first place? The whole point of participating in international bodies like this is to have a dialog between people of all different countries.
