I know many people who identify as liberals, and still are, but many lost their way when Trump arrived on the political scene. Many "liberals" bowed down to everything the democrats said, as did the left wing sites who swallowed Russia-gate like it was candy. Yum. Only a few of those sites retained any journalistic integrity during the Trump years, and many self identified liberals also lost their capacity for independent thought. As you might have noticed the dems continue their war on Trump and his base. Now that Biden is in office many so called lefties have sworn allegiance to Biden and the democrats and anything, and everything they say goes. There are of course some who maintain their independence from the rubbish the democrats continue to spew, especially when it comes to Russia. That's what happens when you divide the world and it's people into the good and the bad which Biden continued to do in his speech as soldiers blocked MAGA their escape from hell into the world of the good. Liberals who bought the split during the Trump years lost any capacity for individual thinking and democrats can easily pull their strings. Of course anti-Russia sentiment has always been an easy sell in this country.
