Data showed 9 severe cases of covid in the placebo cohort and 1 in the vax cohort, but it wasn't clear if any needed hospitalization. No one died in either cohort. What no one specifically said was that the 9 severe cases were out of about 21,700 people in the placebo arm. So your chances of getting a severe case if unvaxxed were only 9/21,700 or .04%. For this risk, how much vaccine risk would you be willing to take?
