For many Chinese citizens, the reaction to such a level of wealth may not be envy. Rather, it may be more one of indignation and anger. Under the current political (and philosophical) CCP leadership, no person may be deemed entitled to such wealth. This is no longer the time of Deng but rather of Xi.
