Something I've realized for quite a while: while it's quite difficult for a bot to convincingly simulate human self-aware consciousness, it's a simple matter for humans to simulate bots, by spouting robotic boilerplate and trigger phrases. The conditioned zombie sleepwalk affect is the same.
