I must confess to taking issue with the idea that we live in a largely feminised world. I found myself thinking, ‘hang on, is this correct - is the world being shaped by women to the detriment of men’? And then I thought for a while, who actually has power in this world of ours? And a mischievous voice in my head, which often talks sarcastically said, ‘don’t you know that it’s women who have all the power? I mean women run the political system in the US - I can’t remember when there was a male president. And the majority of the House and Congress are, and have always been, women. And the leaders of business - women; the heads of government, universities, corporations, and churches - all women’. But then the voice of reason said; don’t be ridiculous.
