On that we agree completely, El. Palestine's Arabs were sold down the road by their own leadership in 1948---if they had accepted the UN's offer for half the land, they would today thrive in a state of their own. I wish that had been the case, because Palestine properly belonged to two people, not one: Jews AND Arabs.
Arab leadership got too arrogant and their people have paid the price ever since. What anyone can do about their plight, I don't know. Israel granted full citizenship to any Palestinian Arab who wanted to live there after the first war; millions took up the offer and they make up 20 percent of Israel's population. I wish other Arab nations would step up and absorb everyone in the refugee camps.
