Hey, Ms. Johnstone, while I usually find your analysis accurate and indeed entertaining, your handling of Trump COMPLETELY misses the point. Namely: that America has morphed into a class-layered autocracy and thereby disenfranchised millions for whom not even the cleverest propaganda machine since Goebbels' can stifle the pain. Sure Trump's a narcissistic sociopath but his embrace of conventional Populism reaches deep into American character. Vast numbers of citizens have been intentionally left out. Hillary's disdain for the "deplorables" conveys a chilling message from the Elite classes: you don't matter any more, even though you fight all the wars that us selfish swine incite, fund, and profit from. Beyond that, since the Vietnam war, the entire Washington apparatus has devoted itself to one crime after another. We've slaughtered millions of innocent human beings. Our Elite increase their wealth and power through war - bombing and killing without a hint of shame or conscience. Vast numbers of my fellow citizens are sick of ALL of it. Anybody who even HINTS that they might put an end to it will get our undivided attention.
