I think it would be a good thing to have a non-western model because it would be interesting to see what it is like. I am really tired of hearing about the western democracy model as being the only valid model, and every other model labeled as authoritarian by the western media.
The problem with the "international rules-based order" is the this was the order created by the west after WW2, and it has been more than 75 years since it ended. I would like it if the G7 would propose to China "OK, the rules-based order was what we set up, but we recognize that the world has changed drastically, and the pace of change is going to change even faster in the near future. We should not be locked in by an old and out-of-date system. China is now a global economic power, and should be a participant in drafting new rules which it commits to implementing domestically as well as internationally".
