Among Chinese, there is a lot of discussion among many things, but it is all in Chinese. They do not feel a need, and most of the time, they deliberately avoid discussing those issues in any language except Chinese because they feel that these are internal Chinese issues, and they don't want westerners with western values systems to butt into their conversations. They feel that the westerners don't add any value to the conversations, and just want to impose their western values on the Chinese, without having any understanding of the dynamics of Chinese society. Most of the time, I think that they are right.
