Disengagement from China will involve pain for the US business community, and for US consumers until non-China sources become available. I don't think Biden can convince the Business Roundtable to take a hit for American national interests, and I don't think that he can convince American consumers to seek out alternatives not made in China.

I believe that Xi and Party Central think the same, which is why they are so cocky now. They believe that the US is boxed in.

I would like to see Biden pull a rabbit out of a hat, but I don't think he has it in him.
