It sounds like you had a very rough time trying to disagree with what some people such as Peter Boghossian or Jordan Peterson label as the "grievance studies" courses at universities, including gender studies, black studies and so on.

It's my opinion that these "studies" courses do not actually exist for any other reason than as an easy option for students, which exist to make money for the universities from people taking out student loans. It might be better to end the student loan system which funds people to take these courses, as well as reducing the number of people in tertiary education.
