To the rise bakery looks good although I haven’t had a chance to go. I also love Beerama which specialises in wine and beer. They do cheese plates and yummy loaded fries. Cru is a good wine bar famed for Sunday lunches. Skylark is a really good restaurant (must book) - great at dinner and breakfast. There is Beanzz opposite Skylark which also does a good breakfast and they have cakes (never had room for them). The Port Hotel is a proper boutique hotel and does a good breakfast. Barley Sugar is a deli which does good sandwiches and local cheeses. If you have a car then Rathfinny vineyard is nice - really beautiful setting and they have a van which does cheese toasties and wine (posher than it sounds!). There are also some good farm shops around. I don’t love Eastbourne (have to visit family there) but food offerings have improved in the last couple of years.
