More or less agree. The main takeaway I think is that human nature is human nature, no humans or civilizations have the "peace gene," in every historical situation/war/invasion etc, there's no escaping using our faculty of judgment to decide what is the right/just/fair thing to do (up to and including war).

So that should dispel us of the commie propaganda notion that China is somehow inherently "peaceful" just as it should dispel us of the notion that every war America ever fought was "just." Those big picture notions don't help us, but neither should the fact that they can't help us, paralyze us, which is what the whataboutism propaganda from the CCP is about (an attempt to paralyze actions to stop bad CCP actions). "America did this bad thing, so China should be allowed to do this bad thing (invade Taiwan)" is not an argument that should be taken seriously.
