Actually, I thought that the VOA’s discussion (on 时事大家谈) this morning was quite interesting. The focus was on the extent to which Premier Li Qiang’s fawning speech/ State Council work report was the final indication of the complete subordination of the State Council to the Party.

The two experts interviewed suggested that it further affirms Xi Jinping’s control over everything.
