Maybe that was one of the reasons it all seemed to become too much for her. That internal ‘conflict’ of accountability and journalistic integrity vs. admitting publicly that her lifelong belief system, sense of purpose etc had been misplaced. Maybe, as someone well known in activist circles, she had seen what happens to people who go against the group narrative and was not able to face that.
