I know they have finger guards, much like the old timey thimbles, that are much more form fitting and comfortable. Have you tried wearing such a thing for knitting?

I am still "reeling and out of sorts" from moving house and chose a group here in my "old ppl neighborhood" where I can bring my unbound quilts and can spend my time doing just that. I like hand sewing that process.

Yes, I do feel the strain especially on my left wrist as I hold the corner down to sew the label on the back!
