I'm focussing on the FUTURE. If you are worried about authoritarian trends - made possible by unlimited money creation thanks to that magic printing press - you'd want to end that system. Which is what China, Russia and other nations are figuring out. Who hasn't figured this out yet is the every-day Joe's and Jane's in America. Many don't like the erosion of freedoms and civil liberties ... and the inexorable growth of the State, but they haven't figure out what actually allows Big Brother to get so Big. Plus, they like all the "benefits" and that "safety net" that makes them feel safer. They also like the military bases and missile plants in their Congressional districts. So it will be quite the challenge to get large percentages of these people to do something that will weaken the Nanny who they think is protecting them.
