Good luck doing away with money as some form of mutually-acceptable form of transaction. That might be a utopian solution, but it's not going to work. There's a reason money was invented. It actually helps advance the world and the people in it (until it became too easy to game/rig). This said, once we get Weimar-Style hyperinflation, barter will be king. You can trade goods or skills. Silver and perhaps copper might still work. Gold is now too "precious." It's amazing that Monopoly money has worked as long as it has.
