If any sort of military adventurism is being planned with Taiwan in the imminent future, would this strategy of blowing off western allies make sense as most of them would ally with the US anyway under those circumstances? Might as well whip up domestic nationalistic fervor in the meanwhile? Would be interested in hearing views of Xi's activities in Fujian as well.. thanks
