According to Scott Ritter (in an interview on MOATS today) - this may backfire terribly for Israel. He believes the Israeli army is not what it once was. Ritter is rarely wrong when it comes to analyzing current military events - he's been spot on now for over a year with the Ukrainian slaughter fest. If the violence escalates with Hezbollah getting seriously involved - he thinks it could lead to disastrous consequences for Israel.

Collective punishment *is* a war crime. And killing more Palestinians isn't going to fix the underlying problem - which is a moral one. A very simple to understand moral one: human oppression.
