Reminds me of a scene in Dune 2, where Gurney Halleck is telling Paul about the Atreides nuclear arsenal, and then makes the remark, "Now that's where real power lies." Which is of course what he believes. But the irony Gurney fails to see, is the real power lies in Paul's ability to decipher his precognitive dreams, and once he takes the Water of Life, able to understand better a rich inner past. It turns out, that's where the real power lies.

The Bene Gesserit also in Dune 2, use narrative to control and move forward with their own plans. Good movie. Villeneuve did a great job in bringing the source material to light and didn't stray far from Dune's thematic content.
