An Eye for an Eye, literally was meant to be an Eye for an Eye - that is equivalent justice for the injury done. It never was intended to be 1 eye for 10,000 eyes. That is a perversion of the original Jewish belief. Israel is a perversion of all that one might consider fundamental to the Judaic faith.
