Some colleagues would occasionally play at creating situations, for example a party leader awarding a ‘model worker award’ to a person about whom the leader knew nothing including the person’s name, to see how long they could carry on the scenario. Participants skilled at party platitudes could continue the ‘ceremony’ for quite some time!
