Re PRC-Pakistan: the recent attack on the bus that killed nine Chinese continues the trend of terrorist attacks in Baluchistan and Sindh against PRC targets including the hotel in Gwadar, the PRC’s Karachi Consulate, the PRC dominated Karachi Stock Exchange.and the bombing of a hotel in Quetta where the PRC Ambassador was staying. Pakistani security personnel, who are often victims in these attacks, seem neither able to prevent the attacks nor find and punish the perpetrators. While propaganda on both sides emphasizes “all weather friends” and “iron brothers,” the situation on the ground increasingly indicates otherwise.
