Re potential Sherman-Le meeting…agree Washington looks to set up the seniors for a chat, but I’d like to float that it may be smart for Washington actually pass on such a meeting. Frankly, is POTUS cognitively up to a meeting with Xi? We know FDR should not have been summiting after the 44 election. Why is it really so critical to meet? Let’s be frank, Xi’s actions and trajectory are totalitarian, provoking, and reckless so why not publicly and appropriately shame him by shunning him for a while?
