From that linked piece in The Independent (a purportedly 'progressive' UK news site): "Health care reform is complicated and technical" which it isn't but let's claim it is so that we can avoid annoying Dem funders. What does Noah Berlatsky think is more important than saving millions of lives with universal, free health care? Why, "reforms [that] would make it easier for Democrats to get into office", of course. That's vital. Not that they would achieve anything worthwhile, as we see by the very fact that universal health care should be dropped in favour of careers for Dem politicians - paid for by, in part, the healthcare lobby.
