This kills me that somehow the media accepts the narrative that only the Dems are soft on the debt. Just memory-holing the fact that Clinton had us on track to ELIMINATE it and W wanted approval points by putting checks in the mail. They're always deficit hawks when it's a priority they don't want and always "deficits don't matter" when it's something they do want.
