That reminds me of a married couple who lived next door to me some years ago, both of them biochemists who worked in private labs but also taught some courses at a local university. Both said their slowest students were medical students.
In all fairness, I've had a few excellent doctors in the past -- but not recently, come to think of it. For one thing, I don't think medical students are taught how to diagnose without high-tech machinery any more.
